Destin Shopping

Destin shopping keeps getting better every year. There's the old standby Silver Sands Outlet Mall and the new kid-on-the-block, Destin Commons. Here's a list of great Destin shopping for your trip.

1. The Zoo Gallery, the Market Shops at Sandestin, 9375 Hwy 98 West,—this is one of our favorite places to shop—in the nation. This place features funky, eclectic, fun, colorful art items. We've made a habit of purchasing a Brian Andreas print (The Story People) every trip. If you visit and you’re expecting staid or boring, forget it.

2. The Silver Sands Outlet, 10562 Emerald Coast Parkway--an upscale, outlet shopping center. There's something for everyone. Personally, I shop Music 4 Less and Publishers Warehouse while the rest of the crew hits the clothing and shoe stores like Kenneth Cole and Saks Fifth Avenue. After hunger pangs attack, stroll over to Harry and Davids or Mrs. Fields and enjoy a cookie or three.

3. Perspicasity, this outdoor Seaside market features clothing, jewelry, art-related items. We love shopping here, especially when the ocean breeze blows through the market.

4. Modica Market, Seaside, nothing like shopping in a movie set (part of The Truman Show was filmed here). Yeah, I know it’s a grocery store, but this ain’t your typical grocery. Excellent deli food and an eclectic selection of beer and wine. Think gourmet and you'll get a good idea of the grocery selection. More About The Modica Market

5. Destin Commons, the most popular place in town for pushing a stroller and bringing the kids to play.  There are timed fountains which they love as well as a playscape.  All the brand name retail shops reside here for mom as well as a Starbucks, Cinema and a Hard Rock Cafe.  Yes, Destin has a Hard Rock Cafe!  I know, I didn't believe it until I visited it myself.  There is also a Bass Pro Shop for dad, so definitely a place that has something for everyone.
